1907 $20 St. Gaudens. High relief, Roman numerals, wire rim. Sharpness of AU-55. Here is a coin for the collector of moderate means. The surfaces have been burnished lightly on both sides and the edge lettering has been filed down substantially in some areas, but is still readible. Liberty's face and microscopic details are all present, and this coin probably never circulated but was poorly cleaned. Undoubtedly this will sell at a nice discount to a more original example, and will thus allow a some collector to purchase an example of this enormously popular coin. Inspection mandatory.
