Lot 149

1797 Draped Bust Cent. Reverse of 1797, stems. . S-135. NGC graded MS-61 Brown. Here is a nice example of the popular Nichols Find variety (see the 1796 above). The surfaces are medium brown with lighter hues near the periphery and brown luster in the fields. Minor handling marks mostly scattered over the devices, keeping the fields clean for the grade. Well struck save for a small area on the back of Liberty's head, where minor weakness is present. No signs of raised spots or other similar "copper" problems anywhere to be seen. A perfect coin for the collector.
Estimated Value $2,500 - 3,500.
