Merrill Lynch, Pierce Fenner & Smith Gold Bar, 5 ounces. This 5 ounce bar is stamped 999.9 fine and has the familiar "bull" symbol used by that brokerage firm. Nice surfaces, and this cataloguer doesn't recall seeing this type of bar before. Probably from the late 1970s when gold became a hot investment item. In a small black cardboard box of issue.
