Pre-Columbian Standing Figure - Nyarit (West Mexico) circa 100 AD. Nyarit is an archeological region of Western Mexico known for its spectacular earthenware sculpture. Nyarit pieces are highly sought after by collectors. This muscular standing figure has painted short pants and inscribed feet and hands. With some repair at the left arm, the work is otherwise in very choice condition. Height: 14". The intense face and head with ears pierced makes this a wonderful display piece.
