Lot 1409

1795 B-5, BB-27 Rarity 1. PCGS graded EF-40. 3 Leaves. Lovely toning on both sides. Here, too, we are pleased to describe a well struck coin with original color, and squarely within the strict guidelines for EF40 grade. It would be difficult to say the coin is piercingly sharp for the date. Liberty in particular, lacks some of the higher relief design. However this is due to the head being in much higher relief than on post-Flowing Hair issues. Easily finer in sharpness than many in nominally higher grades, though. Two leaves under each wing. A popular Red Book variety (PCGS # 6852) .
Estimated Value $9,000 - 10,000.

Realized $10,638
