Group of 5 Letters from Walter Breen dated 27 October 1958 to 7 May 1959. Each letter is typed and was sent to an acquaintance in Los Angeles, California. The letters, similar to the postcards above, cover a variety of coin topics. Particular attention is devoted to issues regarding the pending Breen half cent book, but other topics include coin dealer ethics, identifying cartwheel luster, and an interesting first-person report on the famous 1959 Pennypacker auction of large cents. Some interesting, candid observations from one of the undisputed titans of numismatics. Lot of 5 letters.
