Lombard Kings. Liutprand, AD 712-744. Gold Tremessis (Milan mint). with NGC photo insert. 1.27 grams.Diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right; D N LIV - TPRAN RX, mintmark "M" at right. Reverse: St. Michael, nimbate and winged, stands left holding long cross; barbarized inscription. MEC 322 var.; Bernareggi, ML 152, 8; Fr-942 (Pavia). Perfectly centered and finely struck, on large flan. Faint graffiti "V" on obverse. Rare, more so in this quality. NGC graded Choice Uncirculated.
Estimated Value $3,000 - 3,500.
