Davies, Marion (1897-1961) Actress whose long relationship with newspaper tycoom William Randolph Hearst overshadowed her acting career. Hearst established Cosmopolitan Pictures to produce starring vehicles for her, but insisted on dramatic roles, rather than the comedic roles at which she excelled. Edwin Bower Hesser original vintage 13½"x10½" photograph, with Hesser's embossed blind stamp at lower right, as well as backstamp. A waist-up portrait. Penciled notes on back read "O.K." and "#22." One tiny crease at lower left tip and minor silvering, else fine.
