Political Group. An eclectic group of approximately 35 items, including a mixture of photographs, letters, and cards signed by congressmen and senators such as Eugene McCarthy, Ramsey Clark, John McCormack, and Patsy Mink,and sent to an autograph collector in California, most of them during the 1960s. Other items are: an 1867 New York check paying Tammany Hall politician Richard Croker's salary as a Supreme Court officer, signed by Mayor John T. Hoffman; a 7"x5" Franklin D. Roosevelt campaign silk in red, gray and blue; a 1949 Inaugural Gala program for Truman/Barkley; cards signed by Robert Moses, Admiral Arleigh Burke, and General Edwin A. Walker; a 10"x8" photo of LBJ and Lady Bird; a sheet of "Nixon Now" stamps, and a sheet of stamps from Radio of Free Asia. Also, a Gen. Westmoreland TLS as Chief of Staff, sending autograph. Overall very good to fine.
