Crosby, Bing (1901-1977) American singer and actor. A collection of five letters: three Autograph Letters Signed and two Typed Letters Signed, all on personal letterhead, four signed "Bing" and one "Bing Crosby." Total of 6pp, 10¼ x 7¼ in., written from Hollywood, Pebble Beach, and his ranch in Nevada; one letter is dated 1948, one 1950, and the single envelope is postmarked 1949. All are addressed to Chet Sampson, a Grosse Pointe, Michigan resident who organized a caravan of cars each year to take high school boys and girls throughout the West. He knew many actors and often asked them to meet and greet the young people. The letters all regard Bing's offering the ranch's hospitality to the young people. Fine.
