Netherlands - Utrecht. Gold Ducaton of 10 Ducats, 1743. Delm- (Supplement) 972 variety; Fr-Unlisted; Reeded edge. 34.81 grams. Standing knight holding sword and city shield. Reverse: Crowned crest. Delmonte lists three other gold strikings of the Utrecht Ducaton (Silver Rider): 1726, 1739 and 1745, all are excessively rare. This piece is of the highest rarity, possibly the only piece known. Uncirculated.
