Williams, Ted (b. 1918) Left-handed outfielder who compiled a lifetime batting average of .344 with the Boston Red Sox from 1939-1960. He twice won the Triple Crown (best batting average, most home runs, and most runs batted in during a single season). He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1966. He was the last of the .400 hitters in the 20th century (.406 in 1941).

Signature ("Ted Williams"). Signed Time Magazine, complete issue. Signed in blue ink. Adhesive residue is visible at the bottom left corner. There is some very slight fraying at the spine and upper edge, otherwise, in very good condition.

Spring training is winding up in the article featured in this April 10, 1950, magazine. Williams' off-season and hopes for the 1950 season figure prominently in this issue, along with lots of personal details.
