India, Kushan Empire. Vasudeva II, c. 290-310 AD. Gold Dinar (7.68 g). Nimbate king in military attire sacrificing left at lit altar, holding trident and trident standard; symbols in field. Reverse Ardokhsha enthroned facing, holding cornucopia and filleted wreath; tamgha at left. Cf. Göbl Kushan 576; Donum Burns 724; MACW --. Nice legible strike, although obverse die showing a bit of wear. Lightly toned and lustrous. Choice Very Fine / About Extremely Fine.
