1916 Liberty Standing Quarter Dollar. PCGS graded EF-40. Popular key date. Only 52,000 Quarters were struck in this first year of the standing Liberty with the newly modified Hermon MacNeil design, all of which were released to the public early in 1917. Natural light to medium gray toning covers each side with scattered deep accents of color around the margins. Significant portions of original surface remain on each side although there is considerable wear on the tops of the devices. Weakly struck on Liberty's head and body, as usual, but with a crisp clear date. Pop 36. (PCGS # 5704) .
