1849 N-1 R4 AU55. Attractive chocolate and olive brown with frosty luster showing on both sides. The obverse fields are reflective thanks to a fresh die polishing and this cent offers excellent eye appeal. A pair of small nicks on the jaw are the only marks. MDS, die state c, with a bar inside the O in OF (Newcomb's old #15) and crumbling inside the lower part of the R in AMERICA. A sharply struck cent. CC#5 in the Grellman census.
