1861 Silver Three Cents. NGC graded Proof 62. According to our observations, which the photos pick up on nicely, including the key highpoints of the star outlines and the shield border lines, the strike is above-average, in fact extra sharp, in all areas. A choice, attractive Proof. 1,000 minted, but close to half this number was melted at the end of the year as unsold (PCGS # 3710) .
