Lot 555

1852 N-3 R1 MS60+. Very attractive lustrous steel brown with delicate overtones of light bluish steel and generous traces of mint red remaining, especially on the reverse. No spots or stains. The only notable mark is a tiny diagonal nick in the field very close to the tip of the nose. Very nice for the grade, close to choice. Scarce LDS, die state c. Lapping has made the base of the 1 very thin and left the obverse fields slightly reflective.
Estimated Value $250-UP.

Realized $483
