1795 C-6a R2 Without Pole VG10. Struck over a 1794 TAL Cent with NEW YORK. Sharpness VF20 with numerous small rim nicks and bruises around both sides, the strongest of these well left of the date. In addition there are a few fine scratches on the obverse but the remainder of the coin displays smooth, attractive surfaces. Nice glossy chocolate and olive brown. Ample evidence of the TAL Cent undertype remains visible, including the "RK" of YORK just left of the date. MDS, Manley state 2.0 early. Just a hint of swelling shows right of the Y. Weight 88.3 grains.
