Lot 523

1922 Lincoln Cent. No D. Strong reverse. NGC graded AU-50 Brown FS-013.2. Uniform glossy chocolate brown; the obverse of this piece, although struck from worn dies, still shows a clear date, generally clear LIBERTY and mushy but still readable IN GOD WE TRUST. The reverse die was much newer and so displays very sharp wheat lines and kernels of wheat on both stems, with clear legends throughout. An attractive, high grade example of this scarce issue.
Estimated Value $4,000 - 5,000.
