Lot 4253

1928 Hawaiian Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-64. Stunning mulit-color mottled toning on both sides. A pleasant surprise to see these wonderful shades of color, with the underlying surface approaching gem quality through full bloom off the dies. Since our observation is that this date is not always fully struck, then this sharp coin, with its abundant detail on Captain Cook and the figure of the Hawaiian chief has every suggestion of precision manufacture (PCGS # 9309) .
Estimated Value $3,000 - 3,400.
