Great Britain. Medal, 1688. Woolf-1:4b; MI-629, 49. Silver 18.8 grams. 35 mm. Unsigned. Birth of Prince James. Conjoined busts of James II and Mary, facing right. Reverse: Map of the British Isles marked ANGLI, SCOTIA, HIBERNIA, with rain in the West and Sun in the East. Toned. NGC graded MS-63.

This medal was struck on the birth of the Prince of Wales and distributed by Sir Gabriel Wood, Ambassador Extraordinary to the most Serene King of Denmark and Norway.
