Obv: Ruler on horse with sword and shield. Leg: SANCIVS REX PORTVGAIIS Reverse: Cross of five shields with a star in each angle. Leg: +IN NE PTRIS I FILII SPS SCIA. Superb example of the first gold coin of Portugal. Very Rare. NGC graded AU-50.

This is one of the great rarities of this collection. The first gold coin of Portugal. An extremely important offering.
