1856 N-16/15 R2+ Italic 5 PCGS graded AU58+. Glossy medium steel brown and chocolate with underlying satiny mint frost showing through in the fields and protected areas. No significant marks, only very light friction on the highpoints of the devices. A pair of tiny nicks under the hair bun are good identifying marks. MDS, die state b late or c early (Newcomb's #15). The die lines under the 18 and star 1 have been polished off the die. Our grade is AU50. The attribution and Iskra provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 5 finer, 1 in 62, 1 in 63, 3 in 64 for the variety at PCGS. Estimated Value $200-UP
