Cilicia. Tarsos. Datames, 378-372 BC. AR Stater (10.29 g). Baal seated semi-facing, holding grain ear and grape cluster, thymiaterion to side, scepter behind other shoulder, name at left, all within mural border. Reverse: Ana, nude, stands facing Datames, both within bordered square. SNG Levante 83; SNG France 293. Obverse with typical die wear, with some slight smoothing to parts of the fields. The reverse crisp and beautifully detailed. Lightly toned. Very Fine plus / Choice Extremely Fine.
