France- Merovingian. Silver Denier (7th - 8th Century AD). Unknown mint. 1.29 grams. Roberts-362; Mec -. Obverse: Crowned bust, right arm reaching for cross in front of bust, with M behind bust. Also pellet in front of bust. Reverse: Geometric like pattern figure 8's, with cross and pellets. Bold high relief, superb portrait. Very Rare. Extremely Fine.
