Bactria. Eukratides I, c. 171-145 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.83 g). Apparently a less common monogram for this series. Diademed and draped bust right, wearing helmet adorned with bull's horn and ear. Reverse: The Dioskouroi on rearing horses right, holding palms and spears; ΦΛ monogram in lower right field. Mitchiner I, Type 177a; Bopearachchi Serie 6O. High relief devices boldly struck on excellent metal. Especially good style for this series; lightly toned. Choice Very Fine.
