Kings of Bactria. Demetrios I, c. 200-185 BC. Æ Triple Unit. Frontal head of elephant, one quarter right, with raised trunk, and wearing bell. Reverse: Large caduceus; YΦ monogram in inner left field. Bopearachchi Série 5E; SNG ANS 209; MACW 1638. Good strike. Brown patina with natural surfaces. Pleasant example of type often seen heavily cleaned, smoothed, or tooled. Choice Very Fine.
