Bar Kochba Revolt, 132-135 AD. AR Sela-Tetradrachm (14.29 g), Year 2, struck 133/134 AD. . Hen-687. Facade of Temple, Ark within; Hebrew in three fields. Reverse: Lulav, with etrog to left; Hebrew around ("Year two of the freedom of Israel"). Hendin 687 (same dies); Mild. 10 (18 examples cited). Nicely centered on small thick flan. Excellent metal, faintly toned, with residual luster. Undertype a Syrian tetradrachm, with profile of Nero or Otho to right of Lulav. Very Fine.
