Kingdom of Thrace. Lysimachos, 323-281 BC. Gold Stater (8.47 g) possibly minted at Lysimachia, c. 297-281 BC. Diademed head right of the deified Alexander the Great wearing the horn of Ammon above ear. Reverse: Athena Nikephoros enthroned left, holding Nike in her extended right hand, resting left elbow on shield with aegis. Cf. Thompson 8, 10 for adjunct marks. A couple light marks on edge. Outstanding style; Superb Extremely Fine.
