Lot 3000

1938-D Liberty Walking Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65. Mostly white. A couple of tiny marks on Liberty's leg. Typically frosty for the issue, the ice-white surfaces are nearly pristine with no problems at the rims or any discoloration in the surface. A munificent strike, as well as freedom from the usual die polish lines typical for this key date Denver mint issue, and a coin where insufficient die pressure makes the sharp details shine. This is a coin to jump at before it's sale is history. Only 491,600 minted, the lowest number of half dollars struck since 1921, in fact (PCGS # 6605) .
Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,100.

Realized $1,351
