Lot 2924

"JOHN SHILLITO & CO." EP-56, HB-217, S-161 3¢. Fr-EP-56. The 3¢ is the second most common denomination for this issuer. Although the second most common denomination the tern is relative because this merchant issue is scarce in all denominations. This piece has an extremely attractive, original and problem-free case with traces of original luster remaining around the lettering on the reverse. The mica displays some moderate crazing, and the stamp is a little dull and wrinkly but the overall appearance is still very strong. Extremely Fine.
Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,200.
