"BAILEY & CO" EP-36, HB-45, S-22 3¢. Fr-EP-36. The "Bailey" of the Bailey, Banks & Biddle Co., which is now part of the Zale Corporation, was Bailey & Co. jewelers, located at 819 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia. This piece has a rarity rating of R-8 which is the most "common" of any of the Bailey pieces. Such is relative because all Bailey pieces are rated in terms of rarity at R-8 or higher. The case appears brassy from an old cleaning, and has been laquered. The mica is remarkably clear, with only modest crazing. The stamp is attractive and retains good brightness. Very Fine.
Estimated Value $1,200 - 1,500.
