Bar Kochba Revolt, 132-135 AD. AR Zuz (3.4 g), Year 3 (undated), struck 134/135 AD. . Hen-724. Scarce. Wreath of almonds, with ribbons and central medallion; Hebrew inscription in two lines ("Shim'on"). Reverse: Upright palm branch; Hebrew inscription around ("For the freedom of Jerusalem"). Hendin 724; AJC II, 62; Mild. 122 (no. 6, of 17 examples cited). Beautifully centered, and boldly struck; with light gray and russet toning. Superb Extremely Fine.
