Kushano-Sasanian. Kushano-Sasanian. Bahram I. Gold Dinar (8.67 g), ca. AD 335-370. Kabul. King standing left, wearing lotus headdress and sword, flames at shoulders, holding trident and sacrificing at altar; to left, trident standard and pellet to right of altar; between legs, pellet over swastika; to right, below arm, three pellets; to outer right, tamgha. Reverse: Siva standing facing, holding diadem and trident; behind, the bull Nandi standing left. Cf. Carter 30; cf. Cribb 7; cf. MK 753; cf. Sunrise 1020. Unusually well struck with underlying luster present. Superb Extremely Fine.
