Kushano-Sasanian. Peroz I. Gold Dinar (7.83 g), ca. AD 246-285. King standing left, wearing lotus headdress and sword, flames at shoulders, holding trident and sacrificing at altar; to left, trident standard and pellet to right of altar; between legs, pellet over swastika; to inner, below arm,pi in Brahmi between leg and sword and triple pellets below armpit; to outer right, tamgha. Reverse: Siva standing facing, holding diadem and trident; behind, the bull Nandi standing left. Carter 25; Cribb 2; MK 703; Sunrise 1016. Well struck on both sides. Superb Extremely Fine.
