1928. NGC graded MS-67. Lovely rich golden toning. Gorgeous satin luster on both sides, with pleasing greenish-gold to orange-gold hues. The surfaces are a delight to examine as they are virtually free of bag contact, which keeps the eye appeal far above most examples of this date known to collectors. A solid type or date respresentative of the popular Saint-Gaudens double eagle. Pop 86; 6 finer, 5 in 67 Star, 1 in 67+. (PCGS # 9189) .
