Lot 223

1805 S-267 R1 EF45+. Very attractive glossy medium brown and light olive with slightly darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. This cent offers excellent eye appeal. The only marks, and they are insignificant, are a tiny chip on the rim left of the lower end of the hair ribbon, a tiny rim nick over the L in LIBERTY, a small spot of darker toning near the rim left of the lower curls, and a few very tiny nicks on the rim over the R in AMERICA. M-LDS, Breen state III, with die clashmarks on both sides. Removed from a PCGS slab graded AU58 (PCGS label #36427.58/13470619 included, and it shows the attribution and Husak provenance).
Estimated Value $2,000-UP.
Ex Walter Husak (who acquired it from an unrecorded source in 3/1997), Heritage 2/15/2008:2272-Heritage 5/2009:69-David Lawrence Rare Coins 10/2010-William R. Eckberg.
