Gary Cooper, Lee Marvin and Buck Jones - 3 Western Stars. Three leading men of Hollywood who were recognized for their Western films. First Buck Jones (1891-1942) one of the biggest Western stars in film history yet only a very few today may recognize his name. But from the silent era to the early 1940s, Buck Jones starred in almost 170 films, virtually everyone a Western when at his most popular, Jones died in the catastrophic Coconut Grove Fire in Boston. Offered is a scarce, large signature leaf 3½ x 5" inscribed "To My Pal Wimpo, Good Luck, Buck Jones" in his very distinct signature assembled with a portrait from a fan magazine. Second, an autograph leaf from the legendary star, Gary Cooper, whose Oscar winning performance in the classic Western, HIGH NOON, as well as his lead roles in THE PLAINSMAN, THE WESTERNER, THE COWBOY And The LADY certainly secured his legacy in Westerns, but certainly he excelled in every genre. And last, Lee Marvin signing a vintage original 8 x 10" still from CAT BALLOU, his Academy Award Winning performance and one of the most famous images from the film autographed in the upper left hand corner.
