Lesbos, Mytilene, 412-378 BC. Electrum Hekte (2.52 g). Wreathed head right of Io with small cow's horn. Reverse: Head right of youthful Dionysos wearing ivy wreath within linear square; all within incuse square. Bodenstedt pp. 256-7, Em.77; SNG von Aulock 721; Dewing 2238. Faint ancient scrape over Io's ear. Choice Very Fine.

The electrum hekte was equivalent to one-sixth of a stater, which is the most often seen denomination in this extensive series.
