1868 Pattern Ten Cents. Nickel, plain edge. PCGS graded Proof 64. Lustrous nickel surfaces very close to gem status. Original die polish lines seen diagonally on the obverse. Struck using the large cent obverse design of 1840-1857 and important as an addition to a collection of that series. Just to the right of the first A in AMERICA is what appears to be the top of another A. Strike weakness is found scattered about both obverse and reverse. PCGS population of 4 in PR-64, 2 in PR-65 and 1 in PR-66 (PCGS # 60865) .
