Nero, 54-68 AD. Gold Aureus (7.38 g), Rome, struck 64-65 AD. Laureate head right. Reverse: Jupiter enthroned left, holding scepter and fulmen; IVPITER CVSTOS. RIC 52; BMCRE 67. Sharp strike, well centered. A few light marks in field, otherwise pleasing style front and back, with ample remaining luster. Edge marks. Extremely Fine.
