Lot 2040

1892-CC Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded MS-64. In a old green holder. Light toning around the edges. Otherwise mostly white. No deviation in the sharp relief seen, not even in the centers of the coin which can, on occasion, be indifferently struck. The 1892-CC silver dollar is much scarcer than the heavily distributed commoner CC-mint dates from the GSA hoards, 1890-CC and 1891-CC. Only a few, it seems, were on hand in the Treasury vaults when the government distributed these to collectors (PCGS # 7214) .
Estimated Value $1,400 - 1,600.

Realized $2,645
