The $5 Educational Series Silver Certificate has long been considered the penultimate in U.S. currency design, and original, unmolested examples are always in high demand. This gorgeous near-Gem boasts bold originality and excellent embossing, and would be fully Gem but for the margins which are a little tight at the upper right on the face. With the current currency market in the midst its biggest "boom"since the early 1980s, and with high quality graded material especially in demand, expect our estimate to perhaps be conservative in the extreme.
