1854 N-14 R2. NGC graded MS-64 Brown. Frosty medium steel brown with darker steel toning on the front part of the face and a bit more of the darker toning at stars 4 & 6. Traces of faded mint red remain in protected areas on both sides. No spots or contact marks, but the neck and jawline are covered with a shallow low spot caused by debris on the die (as seen to some degree on the vast majority of the high grade examples of this die variety). MDS, die state b early. Traces of the fine die lines over NI in UNITED are still visible, but they are weak. EAC grade MS60+.
