Lot 1625

1903 Liberty Nickel. PCGS graded MS-66. Frosty and light toned. Pop 64; 2 in 67. Explosive luster erupts vividly beneath billowing multicolor highlights, while bursts of faint electric blue form an aura at the edges of the design elements of this satiny gem leaving Liberty's head basking in warm golden sunshine. The strike is strong save for a hint of lightness at the left ear of corn (a high spot on the reverse design that almost always fails to show completely, even on some Proofs) (PCGS # 3864) .
Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,100.

Realized $1,035
