1846 N-11 R1 Medium Date MS63. Glossy bluish steel brown with 20% of the mint red remaining, mostly on the reverse. There are a few microscopic ticks on the jawline, a tiny nick right of star 13, and a dull nick on the rim at I in UNITED. M-LDS, die state b. The fine die lines from the dentils under 184 are nearly gone showing only a few faint ones under the 6. Removed from a PCGS slab graded MS64RB (PCGS label included). A choice, very attractive cent. CC#3 in the Grellman census. DWH #2050.
