1867-S $20 Liberty. AU-50. A small nick at the throat where another coin socked it most inappropriately, but this hasn't offended Miss Liberty whose strong profile and traces of luster point to only a short time in circulation. Not particularly rare as a date, since the mint struck large numbers of double eagles for international payments transactions, yet just the same, the collector of Type 2 $20 gold will enjoy its finer qualities.
