Lot 1297

1852-O $20 Liberty. PCGS graded AU-58. Light golden toning. Luster still evident. A few little ticks on the cheek but far fewer than average for this important O-mint strike. A satiny coin whose lightly toned fields display ample lustrous around the main devices. Graceful underlying luster supports pale orange to brownish gold iridescence. A pleasing example of the 1852-O date, not fully struck, perhaps, but with enough detail in the head, stars, and eagle area of the reverse to easily support this higher-end grade. Pop 31; 11 higher. (PCGS # 8907) .
Estimated Value $12,000 - 14,000.

Realized $13,225
