Lot 1185

1927-S Liberty Walking Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-64. Outward metal flow lines enhance the billowing mint dazzle that emits like forked lightning from the surfaces, giving the coin a shimmering, glowing white appearance. The original mint brilliance is only interrupted by an occasional speck of toning. Furthermore, there is a meticulous strike on every device (unusual for 1927-S) and is exactly what collectors look for in a walking Liberty half dollar of this period. The numerical condition is exact and obviously was carefully evaluated by the grading service. Pop 246; 61 finer, 55 in 65, 6 in 66 (PCGS # 6587) .
Estimated Value $2,400 - 2,600.

Realized $2,588
