1848 N-22 R1 PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Lustrous light steel brown blending to darker bluish steel and reddish chocolate faded down from mint color in the protected areas, about 5-10% of the faded mint red remaining. Just a couple trivial ticks, including a tiny one on the lower edge of the bust above the 8. The best identifying mark is a bit of darker bluish steel toning at the R in AMERICA. LDS, die state e, with a strong horizontal line through the top of N in ONE. Our grade is MS62, tied for CC#2 in the Grellman census. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Pop 2; 1 finer in 64BN.
